Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily workflow in the section.
• Ensure all machines in the section are functioning well.
• Lead a team of Shift Leaders and Technicians.
• Coordinate and assign jobs for high productivity.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine and process problems.
• Ensure quality targets are met consistently.
• Investigate PCB defects and manage rework.
• Minimize WIP and maximize output.
• Manage inventory and prepare consumption reports.
• Conduct OJT training and update training records.
• Maintain good communication and teamwork.
• Conduct performance appraisals and manage leave.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• To plan and coordinate the daily workflow in the section.

• To ensure that all the machines in the section are functioning in good condition and operating at full capacity.

• To lead a team of Shift Leaders and Technicians to achieve the section’s objectives.

• To coordinate and assign jobs with the aim of achieving high productivity in the section

• To assist in troubleshooting of both machine and process problems to achieve high machine utilization. This should include scheduling of regular preventive maintenance as well as minimizing machine breakdown time.

• To ensure that the sections quality targets are consistently met and that the completed jobs are of the highest quality.

• To investigate and remedy any defects found on the PCB, decide on the disposition of the affected PCB (including Discrepancy Notes) and the arrangement of rework (if necessary).

• To minimize WIP and maximize output within the section, while managing the section’s delivery performance.

• To manage the section’s inventory as well as to prepare consumption reports.

• To conduct OJT training and to update certification / re-certification records and any other training records.

• To maintain good communications and teamwork with all levels of staff, whether within the section or with others. These may include chairing of regular staff briefings and Shift Leader meetings.

• To conduct performance appraisals, manage leave applications, overtime and discipline within the section.

• To maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safety in the section.

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
