Job description

Our client is looking for a Senior/Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre) to join their team. The OT Nurse will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care, assist during surgical procedures, and ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality operating theatre environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and other medical staff during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
  • Monitor patients vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Document surgical procedures, patient information, and intraoperative care accurately and timely.
  • Manage surgical supplies inventory and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in the preoperative assessment and postoperative care of patients.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with relevant nursing board registration (e.g., Singapore Nursing Board).
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operating theatre or perioperative nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating theatre protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
