Job summary

A leading marine engine services provider in Singapore is seeking a Senior Service Engineer to repair, service, and overhaul marine diesel engines. This role requires a diploma in engineering, 3-5 years of experience in engine repairs, and a willingness to work in shipyard conditions. The successful candidate will carry out inspections, maintain communication with customers, and produce detailed reports on work performed. This is a permanent position with a comprehensive salary package including bonuses and allowances.

Qualifications

  • At least Diploma in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in engine repairs and maintenance, preferably within the marine industry.
  • Comfortable with working overtime when necessary.
  • Willing to work in a shipyard/anchorage environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out repair, servicing, and overhaul of marine diesel engines.
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot engine issues.
  • Follow all safety rules and work procedures.
  • Assist in transporting heavy engine components.
  • Maintain timely responses and clear communication with customers.
  • Prepare detailed service reports for all completed work.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Operation Manager.

  • Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8am – 5.30pm)
  • Salary Package: Basic Salary + OT + Transportation Allowance + AWS + Performance Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out repair, servicing, and overhaul of 2- and 4-stroke marine diesel engines.
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot engine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety rules and work procedures when performing jobs in shipyards or at anchorages.
  • Assist in lifting, moving, and transporting heavy engine components to and from the workshop for repair or reconditioning.
  • Maintain timely responses and clear communication with customers.
  • Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for all completed work.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Operation Manager.
