About the role
We are seeking a Senior Scientist with deep expertise in protein analysis to lead antibody characterization across discovery and optimization, from high-throughput screening through developability. Reporting to the Research Manager, you will drive assay development and data generation, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to novel protein analysis technology development. After initial training, you are expected to independently manage antibody analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead antibody binding affinity screening using SPR.
- Plan and execute antibody/ligand binding analyses.
- Plan and conduct biophysical analyses to evaluate physicochemical properties of antibodies.
- Assess developability and manufacturability of antibody drug candidates.
- Support projects from high-throughput screening to late-stage developability assessment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of novel protein analysis technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemical Biology, Biotechnology, Life Science, or Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific field with 0 – 2+ years of relevant industry or research experience, preferably in monoclonal antibody drug discovery.
- Strong expertise in protein-protein interaction analysis, binding kinetic and affinity analysis and physicochemical characterization of monoclonal antibodies.
- Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Protein–protein interaction analysis (SPR, BLI, GCI)
- Column chromatography (ion‑exchange, size‑exclusion, reversed‑phase)
- Biophysical characterization (DLS, DSC, solubility, viscosity, stability testing)
- Protein LC–MS analysis
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in team settings
- Good proficiency in spoken and written English.
The ideal candidate
- Demonstrates a strong passion for medical science and drug innovation.
- Capable of independently running and troubleshooting assays, optimizing methods, and adopting new technologies.
- Ensures data integrity, safety, and compliance with SOPs.
- Skilled in data analysis, visualization, and clear communication to diverse audiences.
- Effective in planning, meeting deadlines, and collaborating across teams.
