A leading tobacco distribution company in Singapore is seeking a sales manager to achieve sales targets and maximize product volume through effective wholesaler management. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and at least 5 years of experience in the tobacco industry, demonstrating strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, along with a detail-oriented approach to planning and execution.
Responsible for achieving agreed sales targets (Shipment & In-Market-Sales) of the assigned wholesalers and maximizing PTC volume in all business aspects including availability, visibility, sales and other commercial indicators.
Gain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned wholesaler organization, processes, total outlet coverage to improve distribution of total PTC products.
Ensure optimum stock level of PTC products in assigned wholesaler to prevent any business disruption.
Support Supervisor to identify & recruit potential Wholesaler to drive new business opportunity and in the event of wholesaler substitution to ensure smooth business continuation.
Manage wholesaler pricing of PTC products at all trade levels.
Ensure effectiveness & efficiency of planned trade program deployment of assigned wholesalers, including proper process roll out and outlet audit.
Manage reconciliation of deployed trade program results, supporting documents and reimbursement payments to Wholesalers.
Develop & implement strategic and tactical action plans to achieve / drive volume growth of assigned wholesaler/area.
Monitor competitive pricing at all trade levels and produce weekly price point report.
Collect and produce weekly market insights report on competitor activities.
Bachelors’ Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, or any other related field
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a sales function within the tobacco industry, preferably experienced in distribution/wholesale management.
Good communication, interpersonal skills and negotiation techniques in managing customer
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & Powerpoint required.
Must be detail-oriented in planning and execution.
Self-motivated, with the ability to deliver results under time pressure.
