Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm in Singapore is seeking a professional to spearhead Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS) on-site. The role will implement EHS protocols, conduct training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, possess a WSHO license, and have at least five years of experience in workplace safety. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide practical safety solutions are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the Workplace Safety & Health Act and other regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS) on-site.
  • Implement and uphold project and corporate SHMS protocols.
  • Conduct in-house safety training sessions.
  • Investigate, manage, report and collaborate on accidents or EHS non-compliance incidents.

Job description
Workplace Safety Management
  • Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS) on-site
  • Implement and uphold project and corporate SHMS protocols
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace and process‑related risks
  • Propose and enforce safe work procedures
  • Enhance workplace safety performance through strategic measures
  • Ensure adherence to Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and standards
  • Ensure compliance with Statutory Requirements under MOM and NEA
  • Contribute actively files to the corporate EHS Committee
  • Conduct in‑house safety training sessions
  • Develop and execute EHS plans, trainings, meetings and promotional activities
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify and address hazards and risks promptly
  • Enforce EHS / OSH regulations at the workplace
  • Investigate, manage, report and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on accidents or EHS non‑compliance incidents
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by superiors
Technical Understanding
  • Proficient in the Workplace Safety & Health Act and other regulatory requirements
  • Ability to provide practical safety solutions
Other Responsibilities (Organization)
Internal Operations
  • Report any site non‑conformance to the immediate supervisor
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure robust Health and Safety protocols on-site
  • Uphold and adhere to standard policies and procedures
