  • Perform experiments using cell-based assays, including isolation of T-cells from human blood and their culture, diverse range of mammalian cell lines, flow-cytometry analysis, microbiome analysis, and functional assays to better understand role(s) of specific metabolites or compounds in anti-tumor immunity, tumor initiation and progression.
  • Collect clinical samples (mainly tumor biopsies, blood, and fecal samples with the help of clinician collaborators), and perform metabolomics profiling, and data analysis.
  • Perform small animal experiments, including those utilizing humanized mice and fecal microbiota transplantation, and determine how certain microbes/metabolites regulate immune function in vivo.
  • Work closely with the PI, Co-PIs and collaborators, document results, write reports, develop research proposals, and prepare manuscripts for scientific publications.
  • Assist in the purchasing of laboratory materials and provide general support to the lab, such as keeping track of cell lines, plasmids and other reagents and materials, participate in lab health and safety measures, risk assessments, and attend regular lab meetings.
  • Contribute to the overall development of competitive T-cell immunology translational research.
Job Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate for Senior/Research Fellow should have a PhD in biological/biomedical sciences from a reputed University.
