The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing advanced nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting within the clinic. This position involves patient assessments, specialized interventions, patient education, leadership, and ensuring the highest quality of care within the unit.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Patient Assessment and Care:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients.

2) Specialized Procedures:

  • Perform complex clinical procedures relevant to the specialized unit's area of focus.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.

3) Patient Education:

  • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
  • Provide detailed guidance on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.

4) Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

5) Documentation:

  • Maintain meticulous and comprehensive medical records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal documentation standards.

6) Quality Improvement:

  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
