Job description
About Us

Love, Bonito is a digital-first company on a mission to empower the everyday Asian woman and inspire self-confidence. We are Southeast Asia's leading womenswear brand, headquartered in Singapore, with an omnichannel presence across Hong Kong SAR China, Indonesia, Malaysia and a retail franchise in Cambodia. In addition, we have also expanded into international markets namely the Philippines and the United States of America. Founded in 2010, we are proudly female-founded with more than 65% female representation in leadership roles (#girlpower!). We raised a US$50M Series C round in 2021 and know that we're on the cusp of something great, where we're working towards becoming the most thoughtful brand globally, for the Asian female consumer, especially when it comes to our products, community and experiences. There's a lot more work to be done with all of our exciting plans. So we're looking to team up with people who are wildly passionate about making an impact and be part of a dynamic team, in a workplace with no corporate BS (yes, you read that right!).

The role

The role We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of People Operations team to build the foundation that supports our people to thrive. This role owns our people systems, payroll, rewards strategy, compliance, and people analytics—ensuring we scale with consistency, care, and clarity. You'll lead and grow a lean and mean regional team, manage vendor partners, and collaborate across our People & Culture function—as well as with organizational leaders and internal stakeholders—to design and operationalize a seamless employee experience.

Main responsibilities
  • People Operations & Systems: Own our HR tech stack (HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits) and drive process automation and optimization
  • Design and streamline employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, offboarding, mobility, documentation
  • Ensure data integrity and operational compliance across SEA markets
  • Payroll & Total Rewards: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple SEA countries (in-house and outsourced)
  • Own compensation philosophy, salary banding, and benefits programs
  • Lead annual comp review cycles, pay equity audits, and employee cost forecasting
  • Partner with Finance on workforce cost planning and modeling
  • Lead the design and evolution of performance appraisal frameworks
  • People Analytics: Build and own the people data dashboard: attrition, headcount, engagement, cost metrics
  • Provide insights and data to inform business and talent decisions
  • Track and report on key People KPIs with clarity and actionability
  • Compliance & Policy: Maintain HR compliance across key markets
  • Develop and standardize HR practices and ensure global alignment in the application of policies and procedures
  • Own HR policies, contracts, handbooks, and investigations
  • Lead internal audits and mitigate people-related risk across the region
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage third-party payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR software vendors
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and optimize service delivery and cost
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and grow a small high-impact People Ops team
  • Partner closely with our Business Partners to create an integrated People function
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on people operations, comp, and risk

  • Proven experience in HRIS projects such as implementations, migrations, or process automation
  • Open to possible relocation to SG if you are now based in ID
  • Open to business travel visits to HQ (SG) and other markets
  • Experience in Business Partnering is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree and comfortable with numbers
