Job summary

A leading hospital in Singapore is seeking a Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and high-quality recordings. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree or diploma, with at least two years of experience in a diagnostic imaging facility, possibly with specialization in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or Mammography.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer.
  • Experience in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography preferred.
  • Member of professional institutions, local or overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards.
  • Ensure patient safety and observe radiation safety rules.
  • Perform daily QA procedures on equipment.

Job description

Job Description

  • Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards.
  • Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents.
  • Ensure the quality of the recording medium and printed copies of images on paper are of optimal quality before releasing to the doctors and patients.
  • Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
  • Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
  • Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
  • Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Perform on-call and after hours duties when necessary, ensure prompt response which is in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital.
  • Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by the Principal Radiographer, and Manager/Assistant Director of Nursing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
  • Member of professional institutions, local or overseas.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Experience in sub-specialities preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography.
  • Those with previous experience in managing Modality areas will be considered for senior position.
