Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is looking for a qualified Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in wastewater or water utility projects. The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma in QS or Mechanical Engineering, be familiar with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract, and have strong proficiency in MS Office. Key responsibilities include managing contracts, budget updates, and liaising with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of related experience in wastewater, desalination, water utility projects.
• Must be familiar with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract.
• Knowledge of Singapore Standard Forms of Contract and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and clarify with subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare commercial terms and finalize contracts.
• Update project budgets and procurement statuses.

Skills

5 years of related experience in wastewater projects

Diploma in QS or Mechanical Engineering

Familiar with PSSCOC

Proficiency in MS Office

Negotiation & clarification with subcon & vendor

Comparison & analysis of quotation & proposal (TBE/CBE)

Tabulation of cost and estimation for pricing preparation

Measurement of quantity for RFQ (indicative to subcon)

Preparation of Commercial Term

Finalizing with subcon & vendor for contractual requirements

Issuing of letter of award and purchase order

Update of project budget

Update of procurement status

Payment claim (to consultant)

Liaise with subcon/consultant/client for payment claim matters

Update of claim summary & expenditure to PM for Monthly Progress Report

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of related experience in wastewater, desalination, water utility package project is preferred

Diploma in QS or Mechanical Engineering

Must familiar with PSSCOC (Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract)

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Strong knowledge of contractual terms, variation orders (VO), unit rates (UR), and schedule of rates (SOR)

Familiar of Singapore Standard Forms of Contract

Conversant with Singapore Standard Forms of Contract

Conversant with Singapore building codes and regulations

Independent, proactive, resourceful, result-oriented, able to meet tight schedules and with a good eye for details
