Job summary

A prominent construction company in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documents and assist with contract administration. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, and possess strong technical and interpersonal skills. This role involves managing project tenders, verifying claims, and attending site meetings to ensure project success.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • To prepare documents and submuissions for tendering new projects.
  • study contract documents, perform measurements and prepare Bill of Quantities;
  • To assist in contract administration, prepare progress claim(s) and liaise with the Client’s representative on claims and variation costs;
  • Call quotations, compare prices and prepare bill of quantities to arrive at the tender pricing;
  • To review and verify the Subcontractor’s / Supplier’s claims and prepare payment certificates
  • To attend site meeting and progress claim meeting;
  • Upon completion of each project, to monitor the respective project during the defect’s liability period;
Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualifications
  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant working experience in Civil Engineering
  • Reliable with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good technical and contractual knowledge with high integrity and work ethic
  • An independent and effective team player, collaborating on multi-projects of various stages, ensuring deliverables within set time & expectations.
