A procurement firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Purchaser to manage supplier relations and procurement strategies. The position requires at least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office. Location: Pioneer, transport pick up Singapore and JB Bukit Indah
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm
Salary: up to $5.5k

Job Description:
• Source and develop alternate potential suppliers to mitigate supply risk upon receiving RFQ from internal customers.
• Focus on cost reduction and minimizing price increases without compromising on quality and compliance.
• Review quotation/contract terms and negotiate the best outcome in the interest of the company.
• Resolve supply-related issues such as cargo damages, shipment delays or early landings, and payment verification issues with the Accounting Department (within job scope).
• Conduct supplier audits and periodic supplier performance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Draft or fine-tune supplier contracts for management decision, where applicable.
• Process daily purchase orders (POs), follow up on confirmations, handle amendments, and coordinate specification/drawing changes with internal customers while ensuring adherence to purchasing protocols.
• Prepare summary reports and handle any other ad-hoc requests as assigned.
• Perform cost analysis and risk assessment related to procurement and supplier selection.
• Work closely with management on strategic purchasing decisions and supplier engagements.
• Must be able to commit to overtime (OT) when necessary.
Requirements:
• Minimum Degree in any discipline (Full-time degree required)
• Singaporean or Permanent Resident
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel/Word
• Strong knowledge in import & export terms, rules & regulations
• Experienced in cost analysis, risk analysis, supplier audits, and SPA (Sales and Purchase Agreement) processes
• Able to handle close-to-management level duties and responsibilities
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
