Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced civil engineer with at least 5 years in building and civil construction. The ideal candidate will possess a PE board recognized Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and experience with precast projects. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and subcontractors, leading teams, and assisting in project planning and execution while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of building and civil construction experience in Singapore.
  • Must have precast experience in SG design and building projects.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and good leadership skills.

Job description
  • To co-ordinate with client, sub-contractors on project aspects and need be, to provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation
  • Lead a team of supervisors / foreman for works coordination with main/sub-contractors and/or authorities and/or consultant on project progress and technical issues
  • Assist in preparation of method statement and construction sequence for project implementation
  • Project planning and scheduling including evaluation of project resources
  • Civil Structure Design (CSD) / Structural, Electrical and Mechanical (SEM) design development.
  • Liaising with consultants on construction drawing, as built drawing, design analysis, design work and design check for approval
  • Attend Weekly progress / design coordination meeting with Client and Consultants for construction methodology, work quality control and to resolve technical issues
  • Assists in planning and deployment of resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment and material
  • Proposed Construction sequence with establish affected structure due to the work activities and propose remedial action
  • Assist in preparation of Project Presentation and Submission of Method Statement & Risk Assessment to Client/Consultants
  • Assisting in the evaluation and resolution of any discrepancies and problems arising during construction
  • Assist project manager in Project Costing, monthly progress claims and monthly progress report
  • Support Quantity Surveyor (QS) in verifying progress payments and claims
  • Coordinating the handing-over of completed works to the client and completion of the necessary rectification works
  • Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements
  • Ensure safety practices and housekeeping is to maintained to the highest standard
    To perform Ad-Hoc duties as per assigned
Requirements:
  • Min. 5 yrs of building and civil construction experience in Singapore
  • Must have PE board recognised Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must haveprecast experience in SG design and building projects
  • Strong sense of responsibility & good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player with the ability to lead & multi-tasking
