Job summary

A leading SAP consultancy in Singapore is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA implementations. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership in the planning, governance, and delivery of programmes, with a focus on collaboration across teams and senior stakeholders. Required qualifications include 15–20 years of relevant IT project experience, strong leadership skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. This role is critical in ensuring successful project outcomes in a complex environment.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for the planning, governance, and successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Lead end‑to‑end programme delivery in close partnership with the System Integrator (SI), ensuring outcomes are delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Proactively manage programme plans, milestones, budget, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Chair and lead Steering Committee and Working Committee meetings, providing clear and structured updates to senior stakeholders at C‑suite and Director levels.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional and technical workstreams, including collaboration with Infrastructure / Basis teams, Enterprise Architects, Security teams, Functional Leads, and Business Process Owners.
  • Ensure programme delivery adheres to established project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and organisational policies.
  • Ensure appropriate resource planning across all phases of the programme to meet milestones, entry/exit criteria, and delivery objectives.
  • Capture and institutionalise lessons learnt and best practices to strengthen future SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Support and align with business change management initiatives in collaboration with the Change Network.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 15–20 years of relevant IT project and programme experience, with involvement in at least 8–10 full project lifecycle implementations.
  • At least 8 years in senior programme or project leadership roles, leading large‑scale SAP ERP / S/4HANA programmes in medium to large organisations.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in funding approvals, IT procurement, vendor management, system integration, and operational transition.
  • Experience from a consulting background (e.g. system integrators, Big 4, or management consulting firms) is an advantage, particularly in managing complex, multi‑stakeholder programmes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Joule, and the broader SAP Business Suite, including technical architectures.
  • Implementation and operational experience in SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PS, QM, and S/4HANA Finance.
  • Solid understanding of financial and supply chain business processes, including:
    • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
    • General Ledger & Fixed Assets
    • Payroll & Treasury
    • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    • Materials Management
    • Project Systems & Quality Management
  • Exposure to non‑SAP financial systems is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of project and programme management methodologies, with emphasis on Clean Core principles.
  • Hands‑on experience across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
