The Senior Production Technician plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including training new team members, ensuring operational discipline, and maintaining production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the self-discipline of the production team, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, production timelines, and company standards.
- Train and mentor new production technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with buyers to resolve part shortages, ensuring the production process continues without delay.
- Lead the Factory Acceptance (FA) project, ensuring the project is completed efficiently and accurately, meeting all deadlines and quality standards.
- Develop and manage daily production schedules, ensuring tasks are assigned appropriately and deadlines are consistently met.
- Assign jobs and tasks to production technicians, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed on time and to specification.
- Review and sign off on job travelers, ensuring proper documentation of all completed work and adherence to procedures.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance before passing them to the QA team, ensuring that they meet both internal and customer specifications.
- Monitor daily production output to ensure that both quantity and quality standards are met consistently.
- Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing tools, equipment, and processes to troubleshoot issues and optimize production efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and communicative work environment, ensuring the team is aligned with production goals and best practices.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety on the production floor.
- Accurately complete necessary reports, documentation, and other administrative tasks as required by management.
- Take on other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor to support production operations.
Requirements
- Responsible for reading, interpreting, and understanding Work Instructions in the assembly of harnesses, cables, and other assigned tasks
- Able to speak moderate English & Chinese (There is a need to liaise with clients who can only speak English or Chinese.)
