Job description

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to take full ownership of a new product initiative, managing the complete 0-to-1 design lifecycle. This person will be responsible for shaping the design vision, structuring and organizing the design workflow, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to bring theproduct from concept to launch.

This designer will operate as a solo designer in the early stages of the project. Therefore, they must be multidisciplinary—capable of balancing strong product design expertise with strategic thinking, light project management, and a hands‑on approach across different design domains (brand, marketing, UX research, and visual communication).

This role requires a designer who can represent the design discipline at a project level, maintaining a high bar for visual quality and user experience, while effectively communicating with PMs, engineers, and executives. The ideal candidate is confident yet humble, understanding that while they’ll lead the design workstream, they remain part of a broader organizational design culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end design initiatives, from problem definition and discovery to final product delivery.
  • Plan, prioritize, and structure design tasks and activities in collaboration with PMs and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product strategy through visual storytelling, prototyping, and user‑centric thinking.
  • Being able to cover marketing, brand, and research functions to ensure consistency and coherence across touchpoints.
  • Represent the design discipline in cross‑functional discussions, ensuring design excellence throughout the process.
  • Maintain hands‑on involvement in both conceptual and executional phases.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience leading 0‑to‑1 product launches, ideally as the main or solo designer on early‑stage projects or successful startups.
  • Strong project management mindset, able to plan, prioritize, and communicate effectively without overlapping with PM responsibilities.
  • Experience working on B2B or consumer‑facing platforms with a multimedia or social component.
  • Background in or exposure to companies with strong visual and interactive standards, such as: YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, Vimeo, Pinterest, Instagram.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with high‑quality visual design execution.
Core Competencies
  • Excellent visual and interaction design skills.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking, with the ability to connect design work to measurable impact.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to represent design across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to work autonomously while keeping alignment with broader company goals.
  • Hands‑on attitude with comfort across UX, visual, motion, and brand design.
