Job summary

A leading financial IT service provider in Singapore is seeking experienced PMOs to oversee project progress in core banking transformations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and must demonstrate strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and effective stakeholder management. Successful applicants will participate in a dynamic team focused on delivering cutting-edge IT technologies to clients across APAC. Knowledge of Agile and experience with CxO stakeholders are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • In-depth experience in core banking or financial services transformation projects.
  • Korean/Japanese-speaking would be a great advantage.

  • Support planning and execution of pre-study activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, and milestone trackers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and steering committees.
  • Track and report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced PMOs (Core Banking) to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing overall project progress. The PMO role supports the organization’s project portfolio by ensuring governance, consistency, and efficiency in project execution. This position provides oversight, reporting, and guidance to project teams while aligning initiatives with strategic objectives. This role requires strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams including vendors and clients.

The PMO will help establish the foundation for successful execution of the full transformation program.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support planning and execution of pre-study activities across multiple workstreams
  • Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, and milestone trackers
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and steering committees
  • Track and report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ensure documentation of scope, requirements, and decisions
  • Coordinate with business analysts, architects, and vendor teams
  • Assist in resource planning and budget forecasting
  • Maintain alignment with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Drive executive-level reporting and presentations
  • Support change management and communication efforts
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles
  • Must have in-depth experience in leading core banking or financial services transformation projects
  • Experienced in leading large‑scale transformations as PM or PMO
  • Strong understanding of project governance frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong Corporate banking domain knowledge in Lending/Trade Finance/CASA/Payment
  • Efficient communication internally and externally with all stakeholders
  • Proven record of CxO level stakeholder management
  • Korean/Japanese‑speaking would be great advantage
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a client‑facing role, with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Be able to confidently work in a fast‑paced, multi‑country environment
  • Experience with vendor coordination and SOW management
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience, or combination
Contract Term

6-month contract to start, with opportunity for extension based on performance.
