Role Overview

The Senior Pilates Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality group and private sessions, mentoring junior instructors, and upholding our studio’s professional and client‑centred standards. This role suits an experienced STOTT‑certified teacher who is confident working with diverse bodies and committed to ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach dynamic, safe, and engaging group classes that cater to mixed levels while maintaining clear structure and flow.

  • Conduct comprehensive 1‑to‑1 assessments and design customised Pilates programmes that addresses each client’s goals, medical background, and lifestyle.

  • Adapt exercises for a wide range of body types, including post‑rehab, pre/post‑natal, athletes, and older adults, using appropriate modifications and progressions.

  • Track client progress, adjust programming based on outcomes and feedback, and communicate clearly about goals and expectations.

  • Mentor and support junior/assistant instructors through class observations, feedback andultural training sessions.

  • Model best practice in cueing, programming, client communicatie, and professional boundaries to help build a strong studio teaching culture.

  • Contribute to internal education and share knowledge from workshops or continuing education.

  • Maintain accurate records (attendance, programmes, notes) and uphold all studio policies on safety, cleanliness, and client experience.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Current STOTT PILATES certification (minimum full Mat & Reformer; additional Cadillac/Chair/Barrels or ISP preferred).

  • 5 years of teaching experience, including both届 group classes and a strong private‑session caseload.

  • Demonstrated ability to programme confidently for different body types and conditions, with a track record of helping clients reach defined goals.

  • Prior mentoring, senior instructor, or lead‑teacher experience is strongly preferred.

  • Able to commit 120–150 teaching and studio hours per month, including a mix of group classes, privates, mentoring, and team activities.
