Senior Marine Superintendent (Chemical Tamkers)

We are looking for an experienced & self-motivated Senior Marine Superintendent for one of our established global shipping clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring marine safety, operational efficiency, and compliance across the company's tanker fleet. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of relevant shore-based experience in marine safety, operations, or HSSEQ in the tanker industry.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee vessel operations to ensure safe navigation, mooring, and cargo handling practices.
  • Monitor performance, vetting inspections, and port state control results, ensuring timely rectification of deficiencies.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and risk assessments at ports, terminals, and dry docks.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Plan and oversee drills, safety campaigns, and shipboard training to strengthen safety culture.
Marine Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure vessels comply with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Support due diligence and vessel screening for new or extended charters.
  • Collaborate with ship managers and key stakeholders during fleet emergencies and operational challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, efficiency, and sustainability (digitalization, emission reduction, innovation projects).
  • Provide training and guidance on marine safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
