A leading social service organization in Singapore is looking for a Senior Therapist to work with families and individuals on their social and psychological needs. The role involves managing complex cases, providing clinical supervision, and designing training programs. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least 8 years of counseling experience, and preferably certifications from relevant counseling associations. Strong communication skills are essential for public speaking and engaging with clients.
The Senior Therapist works with families and individuals to better understand their social and psychological needs. He/she may be given cases that are complex and/or referred by key service stakeholders (e.g. doctors, nurses, counsellors, Family Service Centres (FSCs), Homes, etc.)
He/She is responsible for helping clients develop skills, access resources, and tap on support services for multifaceted issues, including violence, addiction, delinquent behaviour, marital, and mental health problems.
The incumbent is expected to work a total of 40 hours per week. He/she is also required to work two nights a week (Mondays and Wednesdays). He/she is largely expected to work in an office environment, although he/she may also be required to travel out of the office for appointments.
