Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute physical trading of metal commodities, primarily Blister Copper, Copper Concentrate, and Electrolytic Copper, as well as other non-ferrous metals.
• Identify, source, and negotiate with suppliers, traders, and buyers to develop profitable trading opportunities.
• Monitor global market trends, pricing movements, and supply-demand dynamics to make informed trading decisions.
• Manage the full trading cycle including contract negotiation, shipment coordination, documentation, and payment follow-up.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including mines, smelters, refiners, brokers, and logistics partners.
• Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies, credit terms, and risk management procedures.
• Prepare regular trading reports, market updates, and performance analyses for management review.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the company’s market presence.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Metallurgy, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in metal trading, preferably in copper or other base metals.
• Experience with Blister Copper, Copper Concentrate, or Electrolytic Copper will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of physical commodity markets, pricing mechanisms (e.g. LME), and international trade procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong network of industry contacts in Asia or globally (advantage).
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with trade management systems.
• Willing to travel regionally for business development and client engagement.
