Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure accurate salary payments, and manage statutory contributions. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors, and possesses strong knowledge of labour laws and compliance. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel is crucial for this role, which offers the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders in ensuring smooth HR operations.

Qualifications

  • 5–6 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and compliance.
  • Experience with large site-based workforces and attendance management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for site-based and head-office employees, including timecard verification, overtime, shift allowances, and project‑related pay elements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly salary payments in compliance with company policies.
  • Manage statutory contributions and filings, including PF, ESI, WPS, PT, Gratuity, and Labour Welfare Fund.
  • Conduct payroll reconciliations, audits, and preparation of detailed monthly payroll reports.
  • Handle full and final settlements for exiting employees.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors to validate attendance records, manpower deployment, and labour utilization reports.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related employee queries and grievance resolution.
  • Coordinate with site HR teams, project managers, and contractors to support smooth HR operations.
  • Track labour movement, absenteeism, and attrition trends across sites and prepare management reports.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of hands‑on payroll experience, preferably within construction or infrastructure environments will be added advantages.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Preferably experience with large site‑based workforces, contractors, and attendance management systems will be added advantages.
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
