Job summary

A recruitment company in Singapore is seeking a finance professional to manage project funding requirements and cash flow forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accountancy or Finance and at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry. Responsibilities include analyzing budgets, sourcing insurance providers, and preparing financial reports. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams and the HR department on project funding requirements to prepare monthly cash flow (in accordance with terms agreed with the main contractor, asset owner, sub-contractors, and suppliers) and quarterly rolling forecasts to plan for financial needs.
  • Review and analyze budgets (actual vs. budget) to assess potential variances and work with the QS Manager and HR Manager on a quarterly or half-yearly basis.
  • Source and secure the most competitive providers (BG or insurance companies) for project bonds and insurance, supported by a comparison table.
  • Plan and organize foreign currency requirements and monitor forex movements (summarized in a table) with a procurement plan to minimize the group’s forex exposure risk.
  • Liaise with the corporate secretary on corporate secretarial matters for the group.
  • Liaise with bankers, insurance companies, the corporate secretary, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and provide financial advice to support overall business operations and decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly reports and cash flow projections.
  • Provide a summary of banking facilities (available facilities and unutilized amounts), including highlighting new facilities obtained and those canceled during the reporting month.
  • Prepare a summary of bonds and project insurance (bond/insurance value, period, and premium).
