Job summary

A finance and investment firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee their group consolidation and manage the financial department. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the F&B industry, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with accounting standards, driving process improvements, and managing a finance team. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage due to stakeholder communication requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience including group consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Descriptions :

  • Oversee and manage group consolidation, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Review subsidiaries’ monthly management accounts and ensure compliance with group accounting policies.
  • Prepare / review monthly management reports.
  • Review monthly cashflow forecasts.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation and review of annual budget and forecasts.
  • Perform financial analysis to support business decisions and optimize profitability.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including day-to-day financial operations for newly set up business units and investment holding companies.
  • Review and ensure timely submission of GST returns.
  • Review tax computation and ensure accurate and timely income tax filing.
  • Handle group tax planning and transfer pricing analysis and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with bankers, lawyer, company secretary, external auditors, tax consultants and government agencies.
  • Review and update group accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance by entities within the group.
  • Drive financial process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage, coach and develop the finance team.
  • Handle any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, hands‑on, adaptable and resourceful team player with strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage, as the role requires regular communication with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
