Job summary

A leading food company in Singapore is looking for an experienced finance professional to assist the Finance Manager with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience, a diploma in accountancy, and proficiency in SAP B1. This role requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • More than 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to handling full set of accounts.
  • Good knowledge in Financial Reporting Standards, GST and Corporate Tax.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Finance Manager in financial closing and reporting.
  • Involve in daily operations of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Support with external audits and compliance.

Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist Finance Manager in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, ensuring timely submission to management to HQ.
  • Prepare monthly closing activities including preparing and posting of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, revaluations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update Fixed Assets & Right-of-Use Assets register and depreciation schedule.
  • Assist in consolidation of financial result for Singapore and Thailand entities.
  • Update in financial reporting templates.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Involve in daily operations of AR and AP.
  • Ensure documentation completeness, posting accuracy and GST compliance.
  • Prepare and process payments to ensure timely settlement of payments to suppliers.
  • Prepare Statement of Account and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation.
Audit, Taxation and Compliance
  • Support Finance Manager in liaison with external auditors and prepare supporting schedules for audit purposes.
  • Prepare GST filing and ensure all returns are prepared accurately and submit to Finance Manager for review and submission.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Accountancy or higher.
  • Minimum more than 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to handling full set of accounts.
  • Proficient in SAP B1 and Ms Excel.
  • Good knowledge in Financial Reporting Standards, GST and Corporate Tax.
  • Strong organisational skills, attentive to details with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a multitasking environment.
  • Effective team player, highly motivated and able to work independently.
