About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will support a wide range of maintenance, improvement, and operational activities across critical sites, ensuring the operational reliability, safety, and compliance of our facilities' infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems.
  • Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting and resolving complex facilities-related issues.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate facilities projects, including site upgrades, equipment installations, and refurbishments.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and service delivery.
  • Conduct facility audits and inspections; ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Support budgeting, utility tracking, and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including system manuals, maintenance logs, and as-built drawings.
  • Track and report on energy consumption, waste management, and sustainability metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures, including energy-efficient technologies and optimised maintenance strategies.
  • Provide after-hours support for urgent facilities-related matters when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification in Facilities Management (CFM), Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) or similar credentials is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant facilities engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems such as chillers, compressors, UPS, BMS, and fire protection systems.
  • Solid understanding of local regulatory standards and compliance (e.g., safety, environmental).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project coordination abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to start at short notice will be an advantage.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in regulated or high-tech environments (e.g., metal 3D printing, AS9100-certified aerospace manufacturing or semiconductor).
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, NEA, SCDF requirements, and/or BCA Green Mark certification.
  • Additional Energy Management, Fire Safety, or a related discipline certifications.
