Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for overseeing taxation matters, including corporate income tax, GST reporting and compliance, and other statutory tax requirements, ensuring full adherence to local regulations and deadlines. In addition, the role supports general accounting functions such as accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial reporting to maintain accurate records and facilitate timely closings.

This role is based in Tampines.

Key Responsibilities
Taxation
  • Prepare and file corporate income tax returns, GST returns, and other relevant statutory tax submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Assist in tax computations, deferred tax calculations, and tax reconciliations.
  • Provide support in responding to tax queries, audits, and assessments from tax authorities.
  • Keep updated with changes in tax regulations and assess impact on the business.
General Accounting
  • Prepare and submit corporate income tax returns, GST returns, and other statutory tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and meet all statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Assist in tax calculations, deferred tax adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Support responses to tax inquiries, audits, and assessments from authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and evaluate their impact on the business.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting and taxation functions.
  • Solid understanding of local accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software applications.
  • Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Good analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
