Job Title: Senior Executive (Network & Infrastructure), IT

About the Role

The Information Technology (IT) Unit plays a pivotal role in managing and providing operational support to meet the technology needs of IPOS International. Reporting to the Network & Infrastructure Lead, the Network & Infrastructure Senior Executive will support and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure—including networks, systems, Microsoft 365 services, and co‑location environments. The role also involves project coordination, procurement and vendor management, and ensuring compliance with security and operational standards to support organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support (80%)
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless networks, and VPN connections.
  • Support server administration, system updates, and patch management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Ensure the stability and security of IT infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and storage systems.
  • Oversee and maintain the server room environment, including power, cooling, cabling, and physical security.
  • Oversee co‑location setup and ensure proper connectivity and redundancy.
  • Implement and maintain structured cabling systems for network and data center environments.
  • Oversee, administer and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online (Email), SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Oversee license management and ensure compliance with subscription agreements.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and data.
  • Oversee data archiving strategies to ensure compliance and long‑term storage requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Implement asset lifecycle management processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal).
  • Conduct periodic asset audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT systems, infrastructure, and security controls.
  • Identify gaps, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage IT procurement processes, including preparing specifications, obtaining quotations, and evaluating proposals.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost‑effective and timely delivery of IT equipment and services.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and monitor service level agreements (SLAs).
Cybersecurity (20%)
  • Assist with procuring, designing, implementing, and managing security solutions.
  • Conduct annual vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor systems for signs of malicious activity, analyze threats, and perform threat hunting.
  • Communicate with and manage security vendors on procurement, requirements, technical configurations, and implementations.
  • Assist with the security awareness program.
  • Respond to security incidents as a Level 2 responder.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

  • Hands‑on experience with network infrastructure, structured cabling, and wireless technologies.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 solutions (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, D365).
  • Experience in co‑location setup, backup and archiving solutions, asset tracking and management, and server room operations.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and IT audits.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), and backup solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
