Job Purpose
  • To be responsible for the financial accounting of companies under the Motors Singapore Group
  • Co-ordinate with shared services Centre relating to accounting operations including day-to-day finance operations so as to keep proper accounting records and meet reporting requirements on time.
Job Content
  • Financial accounting
    Prepare monthly closing journal
    Review monthly accounts reconciliations and schedules
    Review monthly inventories ageing report for adequate NRV
    Control chart of a/c, review consistency, control a/c creation and archive
    Assist FM in annual insurance policy renewal review
    Audit review support (External and GCA/D review)
    Ensure compliance to accounting standards
    Preparing and submit Benefit in Kind (BIK) - Car and Car-related Benefits
    Annual Statutory Accounts, XBRL
  • Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivables
    Review of sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliation
    Review monthly inter-co billing and ensure consistent accounting treatment
    Review debtors ageing reports and vendors statement reconciliation
    Prepare commissions for payroll submission
    Prepare payroll journals
    Monitor daily cashflow requirements
    Prepare / review Banker’s Guarantees applications, maintain records and monitor expiry / renewal
    Prepare / review payments to vendors
  • Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and operations on day-to-day accounting matters
  • GST and tax
    Review GST submission workings and GST reconciliation test
    Prepare tax & deferred tax computation for accounting provision
    Prepare corporate tax computations for review by HO and tax consultants
  • Fixed Assets and Capex
    Prepare capex and maintain capex records for new / replacement of fixed assets
    Maintain asset register
    Prepare costing for demo registration
  • Budget and forecasts - Provide assistance to reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts
  • Collaborate with Digital Technology team – user acceptance tests for new programs, parameters and interface set-ups
Job Requirement
