Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Singapore seeks a dedicated professional to support the development of operational responses for Civil Emergency (CE). This role involves coordinating hospital training, assisting in developing response plans, and ensuring organizational readiness for emergency situations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management or a relevant field and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred, but those without experience are also encouraged to apply.

Job description

You will support the development of operational responses for Civil Emergency (CE). You will also assist the Manager in developing and implementing comprehensive response plans, coordinating, and facilitating pre-hospital and in-hospital trainings for staff and conducting field exercises and drills to ensure high level of preparedness in managing a mass casualty situation.

Responsibilities
  • Report on the development and progress as well as operational readiness of the hospital’s Civil Emergency (CE) and other related plans
  • Review plans annually and ensure training, and exercises are conducted to ensure organisational readiness
  • Coordinate CGH’s involvement in VVIP and / or Field Medical Teams in MOH-led / partnered exercises and events coverage
  • Coordinate the submission of routine / ad-hoc reports and returns to MOH for KPIs reporting
  • Monitor training requirements by MOH under CE Framework
  • Prepare and monitor training budget to meet the training requirement by MOH under CE Framework
  • Provide secretariat support to various hospital meetings, including coordinating regular meetings with committee members, agenda and slides preparation, minutes taking, and papers dissemination
  • Support the establishment of a cooperative platform with healthcare response agencies that lead emergency responses to civil disasters
  • Support the operations of the CGH Operations Centre (CGHOC) during peacetime in the areas of surveillance of hospital operations, incident reporting and management, and collation of data for effective resource management
  • Take on special projects or any other duties assigned from time to time
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management, Administration or any other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare or social service-related industry would be advantageous, though candidates with no prior experience are also welcome to apply
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
