Key Responsibilities
This role is a strategic support for the procurement operation function to influence significant change management across Food Solutions, Business Units (BU) and functions. The role will support the development of productivity benchmarks, category management, strategic sourcing, Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) management, operational support, and internal controls and compliance.
- Support the Senior Procurement Manager/Head of Tactical Sourcing to deliver sourcing initiatives across food‑related categories, applying the Collaborative Procurement Model (CPM), Category Management and the 7‑step sourcing process.
- Accountable for sourcing and operational knowledge in defined categories, collaborating with BUs/functions early in the 7‑step sourcing process to analyse, source, negotiate, contract and manage agency suppliers for maximum productivity benefits.
- Accountable for ensuring monthly reporting through the updated CPM Tracker.
- Support management of Global Procurement internal controls, risk management and supplier integrity with supplier management teams.
- Ensure effective and timely communication with procurement colleagues in other functions and with business stakeholders in BUs/functions.
- Apply category strategy management to identify BUs/functions sourcing opportunities for improved systems and process efficiencies.
- Develop strong collaboration with Finance and Marketing functions in each BU to support budgeting and planning in line with the 7‑step sourcing process for each category.
- Deliver strong analytics capability for key categories and support recommended spend and buy‑better strategies, validating demand management with business owners and guiding users to the most appropriate products and services.
- Manage compliance to S2P to ensure delivery of key performance metrics.
- Comply with Global Procurement policy and Global Procurement Operation Manual to ensure consistent implementation across BUs/functions.
- Facilitate approvals and sign‑offs from appropriate parties to ensure agreement before spending commitments.
- Collaborate with the supplier performance management team to ensure timely resolution of supplier performance feedback, disputes and complaints.
- Collaborate with the supplier risk management team to carry out supplier audits and ensure risk mitigation and compliance.
- Collaborate with the supplier relationship management team to ensure SRM tasks and initiatives are properly carried out, monitored and measured.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably within fast‑moving consumer goods, hospitality, retail or consulting sectors.
- Background in procurement, consulting or business operations is preferred.
- Strong expertise in category management and sourcing processes.
- Demonstrated analytical, negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven ability to lead effectively and communicate with stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
