A leading medical technology company in Singapore is seeking a qualified Biomedical Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound devices. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and strong problem-solving skills. Job Description
  • Carry out all warranty, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown service repair jobs assigned for ultrasound medical devices.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance according to schedule by clear time planning and making appointments with specific customers
  • Plan and balance for efficacy and productivity by meeting organizaional goal to turnaround within 72 hours excluding weekends and public holidays
  • Maintain proper records of equipment history by customer and department both at site and regularly update SOM to ensure real time information
  • Prepare job sheets, seek customers approval/confirmation, coordinate with SOM to invoice the correct spare parts
  • Coordinate with SOM to prepare quotations for the right decision maker and track records
  • Ensure timely job sheet closure to speed up biling processes to reduce AR & inventory holding
  • Familiarize with the ISO Procedure & always operate within the guideline
  • Familiarize with all risk management processes and ensure compliance at site
  • Responsible to do it right first time and be aligned to aim for zero complaints
  • Plan and coordinate with customer/end-user to reduce time &resource wastage
  • Prepare and decide all quotation and track for official purchase orders for breakdown repairs
  • Drive & comply to organizational objective and always respond within 10hours at site during office hours
  • Responsible to always communicate professionally with internal and external customer
  • Create competitive advantage by adding value to the organization through building strong relationship with BME engineers in key accounts
  • Attend all training or re-training identified and contribute improvement by giving constructive feedback to manufacturer
  • Reponsible to share & where applicable, conduct corss training internally to increase competency of other engineers and also organize & provide training for BME department
  • Gain & gather information in the field & make informed recommendation to service manager & participate in the drive for sharing of best practices based on customers feedback and personal experiences
Job Requirements
  • Min. degree in Biomedical Engineering or other relevant fields
  • At least 5 years of working experience in hospital environment or engineering consultancy firm
  • Preferably strong engineering and IT Knowledge
  • Possess own transport
  • Positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer focus & excellent execution.
  • Able to travel outstation or overseas when required.
  • Fluent in English.
