A leading engineering consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to plan and design electrical systems for building services projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 3 years of hands-on experience, and be proficient in AutoCAD. Responsibilities include designing electrical services, project management, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely project completion. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a good understanding of Singapore's engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in design in an engineering consultancy firm for degree holder.
• Experience in handling full cycle of building service projects and proven track record.
• Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission process.
• Confident with strong presentation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects.
• Design of electrical services including sub-station and lighting systems.
• Submission of electrical load applications.
• Presentation of design concept reports to clients.
• Preparation of M&E cost estimates and technical specifications.
• Co-ordinate M&E services within the office.
• Review shop drawings and handle RFIs.
• Verify work progress and manage site investigations.

Main Role and Responsibilities

Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client’s requirement. Incumbent must influence across services without formal authority and manage the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of electrical services such as sub-station, single line diagrams, small power and lighting, lightning protection system, security system, data cabling, public address system, etc.
• Submission of sub-station and TFCC plan
• Application to SP Group for any pre-consultation or new electrical load.
• Presentation of design concept report to client.
• Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme.
• Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation.
• Co-ordination of M&E services within the office.
• Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs.
• Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim.
• Liaise with main contractor, architect, Interior designer, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project.
• Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports.
• Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following
  Site Assessment and Inspection
  Design development and co-ordination
  Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.
  Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.

Prerequisites

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in design in an engineering consultancy firm for degree holder.
• Experience in handling full cycle of building service projects and proven track record.
