Job description
About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director Business Development (AI) to drive strategic growth across Banking and Government sectors in Singapore and the broader ASEAN region. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders — helping them accelerate AI adoption, improve operational efficiency, and leverage high-quality data and ML integration to enable next‑generation digital transformation.

You will lead end‑to‑end account ownership, from relationship development and opportunity identification to deal closure and post‑sales collaboration. Success in this role requires a combination of business acumen, solution‑oriented thinking, and the ability to translate AI and data capabilities into tangible value for enterprise and government clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account strategies for Banking OR Government clients, with a focus on expanding Centific’s footprint in AI adoption, training data programs, and ML data integration.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders—translating their business or policy objectives into actionable AI/ML use cases and scalable data solutions.
  • Build and grow trusted relationships with C‑level, innovation, and digital transformation leaders across banks, regulatory agencies, and homeland security–type organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, including RFP/RFI engagements, multi‑year data programs, and pilot‑to‑scale AI initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams (solution architects, delivery, data science, and engineering) to develop compelling proposals and ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of AI/ML trends, data governance, and security frameworks applicable to regulated sectors (e.g., financial compliance, government data handling).
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to tailor go‑to‑market messages and client presentations for the Banking and Public Sector domains.
  • Contribute to long‑term client success through proactive engagement, identifying renewal and expansion opportunities, and ensuring measurable business impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise account management or business development, preferably in the Corporate Banking , and/or Government/Public Sector.
  • Proven success in selling complex technology or data solutions, ideally involving AI, machine learning, or data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, data operations, and enterprise integration models.
  • Ability to navigate procurement, compliance, and security processes within regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable engaging with technical and executive audiences.
  • Self‑starter with a consultative sales mindset and ability to operate in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
  • Willingness to travel within the region (20–30%) for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with public sector digital transformation initiatives, such as Smart Nation programs, national data platforms, or AI governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with financial data compliance (e.g., MAS TRM, PDPA) and government tendering processes.
  • Background in AI services, data annotation, or machine learning integration a strong plus.
  • Previous work with global technology providers, system integrators, or government‑linked enterprises.
