Job description
[What the role is]

You will be part of the Quality & Excellence Group – Standards Division (Services), which leverages the national Standards and Conformance (S&C) infrastructure to build trust in Singapore’s products and services. In this role, you will be a part of the Services, Trade & Connectivity team.

[What you will be working on]
  • Collaborate with industry experts, government agencies, institutes of higher learning, professional bodies, industry associations and other stakeholders to identify and develop national and international standards in trade, logistics, and sustainability.
  • Provide Secretariat support to the Trade and Connectivity Standards Committee and its subordinate groups, including gaining buy‑in for and developing new standards as well as the review and maintenance of existing standards.
  • Support Singapore’s representation at trade‑related international/regional fora such as the ASEAN Digital Trade Standards and Conformance Working Group (DTSCWG), including defending Singapore’s key interests through coordinating national positions with sector‑relevant agencies, and supporting principals’ upcoming participation in capacity of Vice Chair/Chair of DTSCWG.
  • Stay abreast of international/national developments and emerging issues in sustainability.
  • Build technical expertise in related topics to identify standardisation needs in Singapore and at the global level.
  • Support representation at national sustainability‑related committees.
  • Coordinate inputs on trade, logistics, and sustainability related initiatives involving Whole‑of‑Government and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the setting, development, promotion and adoption of standards in trade, logistics and sustainability sectors.
