Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy in Singapore is looking for an experienced professional to manage electrical design projects. You will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring quality systems are implemented, and designing electrical switchboards and control panels according to client specifications. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5 years of electrical design experience required.
• Strong knowledge in switchboard and DC-Grid control systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign projects to team members.
• Lead the team in design approvals and quality checks.
• Implement quality systems of the QMS.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Plan and assign project to subordinates including accountable for team's result.
• Lead subordinates to check and approve design drawings and documents.
• Implementation of Design Control functions & quality system of the QMS.
• Prepare material requisition lists for job requirements.
• Design electrical switchboards, consoles and control panels according to customer's requirements.
• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, final drawings, circuit calculations, instruction manuals etc
• Coordinate with clients/consultants on the technical requirements and attend discussions.
• Feedback to Sales for changes of requirements by clients for claims of additional costs and time.
• Check design and shop drawings with production and advise Sales on technical matters
• Technical backup for securing of contracts & support work improvements that bring cost saving.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years electrical design experience.
• Knowledge in switchboard, DC-Grid, VFD Control with Azimuth Thruster, Switchgear Control for ship.
