Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage major design projects within the Design Department
• Plan, allocate and supervise work of the design team to ensure successful project delivery
• Review and approve drawings, technical documents, calculations, and manuals
• Oversee Design Control and ensure compliance with Quality Management System
• Prepare material requisition lists and job requirement documents
• Design electrical switchboards, consoles, and control panels to customer specifications and internal standards
• Coordinate and attend technical discussions with clients & consultants
• Provide technical support to Sales & Marketing; assist in securing contracts
• Collaborate with Production teams on design and shop drawings
• Identify and implement work improvements to reduce cost & wastage
• Perform other duties assigned by superiors in alignment with QMS procedures

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experienced in electrical design of switchboards, control panels, or similar systems
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills
• Additional specialised experience in any relevant area will be an advantage and may qualify for higher salary
