Job Description
Community Engagement and Relationship Building
- Build and maintain relationships with community members in public rental blocks through door‑knocking and conversations.
- Mobilise and empower community members to use their strengths and interests to contribute for community initiatives.
Resource and Partnership Management
- Secure and manage resources including volunteers, and partnerships with varied organisations such as grassroots and corporates.
Collaboration with SSA and Community Centric Casework Support
- Work with other social service agencies to support families with community‑centric casework that addresses individual and family crises.
Team Leadership and Supervision
- Oversee the team’s workplan and projects as assigned, and guide team members in project management and community work practice.
- Oversee and guide team members in achieving the team’s community development workplan and key performance indicators.
General Duties
- Perform any other responsibilities and duties assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Social Work or related field
Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in community work practice or related field.
- Experience in leading a team is a plus (leadership or supervisory experience preferred).
- Experience in arts‑based facilitation or community theatre is a plus.
- Possesses a keen interest in working with less resourced families, children and youth.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- An excellent team player with good interpersonal and listening skills.
- Motivated towards learning and professional development.
- Flexible, and open to adapt to organisational changes or ground concerns.
- Good writing skills and comfortable with data collation for reporting purposes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willing and able to work on some weekday evenings and weekends.
