Internal Audit (IA) serves as the independent third line in ANZ’s three lines of defence (3LOD) governance model. Our IA function is made up of multiple teams that work together to help the bank move at pace safely, leveraging our enterprise-wide perspective and independence.

We currently have a permanent opportunity available within our Internal Audit team in Singapore.

Role Details

Audit Manager / Senior Audit Manager, Institutional – The role is key to delivering high-quality assurance over the Singapore and wider Institutional business. The role is available at either Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager level, depending on the specific skills and experience of the successful candidate:

  • Senior Audit Managers lead complex audits, support the Audit Director in designing and coordinating assurance activities, and ensure timely, relevant insights into the risk and control environment.
  • Audit Managers execute audit tasks aligned with methodology, contributing to the assessment of risks and controls, and supporting the team in delivering safe, effective outcomes for customers, the Board, and regulators.

The role embodies Internal Audit’s purpose of being a trusted, independent voice that promotes strong risk management across the bank.

  • Work Hours: Full time, Permanent
What will your day look like?
  • Designing and delivering assurance activities that effectively identify risks and controls, ensuring audits meet objectives and are completed within budget.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to gain buy-in for audit outcomes and driving improvements in the risk and control environment.
  • Understanding the business strategy and sharing insights with the audit team to support proactive risk management and add value.
  • Executing audits in line with Internal Audit methodology, delivering high-quality reports, and providing timely updates on progress and findings.
  • Contributing to strategic initiatives and maintaining a current view of the Institutional portfolio’s risk landscape through ongoing feedback and collaboration.
  • Collaborating globally across ANZ’s Institutional network, gaining exposure to various business functions and contributing to cross-regional audit delivery.
  • Supporting regulatory submissions.
What will you bring?
  • Strong understanding of risk, control, and regulatory frameworks within an Institutional banking environment.
  • ACAMS or equivalent Financial Crime qualification & experience conducting Financial Crime audits in an Institutional banking environment.
  • Extensive experience in audit, assurance, or risk management, with deep banking and finance industry knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of global internal audit standards (e.g. IIA) and methodology, and Singapore financial regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to lead (Senior Audit Manager) or contribute to (Audit Manager) complex assurance projects, using data analytics to enhance risk assessment and audit execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a track record of working effectively with senior executives.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and emerging technologies.
