Job description
What the role is:

The Tax Policy directorate formulates tax policies with the view to creating a competitive, equitable, and fiscally resilient tax system.

What you will be working on:

As a Tax Policy (TP) officer in MOF, you will formulate and implement tax policies to ensure a pro-growth fiscal system that will expand Singapore’s economic space and promote our social objectives.

  • Identifying initiatives and processing approvals to facilitate optimal management of tax measures through other government agencies.
  • Engaging and consulting relevant stakeholders in the review and implementation of tax policies.
  • Undertaking benchmarking research/studies, identifying and addressing international tax developments that are expected to have a medium/long-term impact.
What we are looking for:
  • Background in Economics/Business/Accountancy would be an advantage.
  • Keen interest in, and passion for public policy work.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability with good writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
