The College of Engineering at NTU Singapore is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager / Manager, Academic. The individual will lead and manage the College’s Undergraduate academic functions.
Reporting to the Head, Undergraduate, the candidate will play a critical role in shaping undergraduate learning. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing academic strategies, initiatives and programmes through all of College. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating undergraduate policy implementation and overseeing academic operations.
Work closely with Head, Undergraduate to oversee the College’s academic administrative and operation functions
Collaborate with respective Leads across the engineering schools on academic functions
Oversee second majors and double degree programmes including coordinating course timetabling and registration with partner schools
Oversee the implementation of the Interdisciplinary Collaborate Core (ICC) and Service-Learning courses across CoE
Participate in the decision-making policies and initiatives at respective committees for Freshmen Orientation and NTU Convocation.
Partner OGEM and coordinate with schools on courses for overseas student mobility programmes
Prepare academic reports for reporting to university management and MOE
Update and maintain undergraduate programme information on CoE’s website
Oversight and key personnel in accreditation exercises for CoE’s undergraduate programmes
Organise semesterly Undergraduate Program Quality Assurance exercise applicable
Support the implementation of UG education strategies and plans
Any other projects and initiatives
Recognized university degree in any discipline.
At least 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education, curriculum development and or academic policy
Proven experience in programme management, policy development and or academic operations
Resourceful team player with good interpersonal and people management skills.
Highly motivated and meticulous individual with strong analytic and problem-solving skills and keen eye for details.
Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
IT savvy and proficient in MS office applications.
