Job Summary
The Architectural Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing all architectural works for HDB projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, HDB specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role focuses on drawing coordination, site interface management, quality control, and close liaison with HDB, consultants, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Coordination & Interface Management
- Coordinate architectural works with structural and M&E trades to ensure proper interfaces and sequencing.
- Resolve architectural clashes and site issues related to finishes, openings, details, and tolerances.
- Ensure architectural works integrate smoothly with M&E services, precast elements, and structural components.
- Drawings & Technical Submissions
- Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and builder’s work drawings.
- Prepare and submit material submissions, mock-ups, samples, and method statements for approval.
- Raise and manage RFI / technical queries with consultants and HDB.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections for architectural works including:
- Blockwork, plastering, screeding, and tiling
- Waterproofing works
- Doors, windows, ironmongery, and glazing
- Painting, ceilings, and partitions
- Ensure works comply with HDB specifications, approved details, and CONQUAS standards.
- Coordinate and close out architectural-related NCRs.
- Programme & Progress Coordination
- Coordinate architectural work sequence in line with overall project schedule.
- Monitor progress and highlight delays or quality risks to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate manpower deployment and material delivery with subcontractors.
- HDB, Consultant & Authority Liaison
- Liaise with HDB, architects, and consultants on architectural matters.
- Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and architectural inspections.
- Ensure timely implementation of instructions and comments from HDB and consultants.
- Mock-ups, Inspections & Handover
- Coordinate mock-up units, sample panels, and workmanship demonstrations.
- Prepare for and attend HDB / consultant inspections and CONQUAS assessments.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.
- Defects Management
- Coordinate defects rectification during TOP / CSC inspections and Defects Liability Period (DLP).
- Ensure architectural defects are rectified to HDB and consultants’ satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building, or Construction Management.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in HDB building projects.
- Strong knowledge of HDB specifications, construction details, and CONQUAS requirements.
- Familiar with precast and PPVC architectural interfaces (preferred).
- Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
