Job summary

A leading restaurant company in Singapore is seeking a Finance Officer to support in financial statement closure and management of accounts. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy, at least 2 years of experience in the F&B industry, and knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. This role involves preparation of financial statements, managing accounts payable, and coordinating with auditors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the F&B industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Experience in ERP system transitions and process optimization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support in closing financial statements monthly and annually.
  • Prepare financial statements and projections of P&L weekly.
  • Work with external auditors for yearly financial audits.
  • Manage accounts payables to meet due dates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transactional processing.

Organizational skills
Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
Basic knowledge of Corporate Tax

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Support in closing of financial statement monthly and annually

  • Assists in the preparation of financial statements.

  • Assists in projection/estimation of P&L in weekly basis

  • Work with external auditor for yearly financial audit and tax agent for corporate tax submission

  • Manage account payables to meet due

  • Manage journal entry in accounting system

  • Ensure timely and accurate transactional processing in daily operation

  • Prepares the daily sales report and manages daily cash control

  • Files withholding tax in a timely and accurate manner

  • Monitors accounts receivable balances through aging analysis and follows up on outstanding payments.

  • Collaborates with the Malaysia team to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of finance processes

  • Liaising with vendors and landlords on any issue on AP and AR

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the F&B industry.

  • Basic knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Corporate Tax, and GST regulations.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high-volume tasks.

  • Prior experience in ERP system transitions and process optimization is a plus.
