Focus on synthesis, phase optimization, and microstructural engineering. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Materials Science or related field, with 3–5 years industrial R&D experience. Strong English proficiency is required, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus. The role involves close collaboration with production teams and requires frequent travel, with half the time spent overseas.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Solid-State Physics, Metallurgy or related field.
• 3–5 years in industrial R&D focusing on functional metallic alloys.
• Strong proficiency in English; Mandarin or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize grain boundary chemistry.
• Implement R&D in vacuum induction melting and powder metallurgy.
• Utilize SEM/EDX and XRD for material performance analysis.
• Develop strategies for thermal stability research.
• Collaborate with production to translate lab breakthroughs.

Skills

Understanding of crystalline anisotropy

Hands-on experience with oxygen-sensitive material handling
