The role combines technical expertise, customer support, and sales enablement to ensure optimal product selection, installation quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Technical Expertise
- Serve as the technical expert on solar, safety, and decorative window films for buildings.
- Advise clients, architects, consultants, and contractors on appropriate film solutions based on performance requirements (heat rejection, UV protection, glare control, safety, and aesthetics).
- Conduct site assessments and recommend suitable products and installation methods.
- Support troubleshooting of product performance or installation issues.
Sales & Business Support
- Support the sales team with product presentations, demonstrations, and technical proposals.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, submittals, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, project pitches, and industry events.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling related products.
Installation & Quality Control
- Provide guidance and training to installers on proper installation techniques and best practices.
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer guidelines, and warranty requirements.
- Conduct post-installation inspections when required.
Market & Product Development
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
- Support new product launches, including training materials and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve product offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Building, or an equivalent discipline, Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, or Temasek Polytechnic.
- 2–5 years of experience in solar film, window films, building materials, façade systems, or a related technical sales role.
- Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of solar film installation for buildings is highly desirable.
- Understanding of building performance standards, energy efficiency, and solar heat gain concepts.
