Job summary

A leading trading company in Singapore seeks an individual to deliver sales volume and manage product procurement activities. The ideal candidate will coordinate local market engagement and negotiate with suppliers while developing strong relationships with key clients. This role requires traveling overseas for procurement and working closely with internal teams to ensure quality products. Candidates should have market knowledge, especially regarding products from India and Bangladesh.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering sales volume to meet targeted sales objectives.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing new product launch activities.
  • Liaise and negotiate with local market personnel & buyers and suppliers directly.
  • Knowledge about geographical and seasonal availability of products.
  • Coordinate with overseas team for spice powder preparation.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with buyers and retail personnel.
  • Promote and market products to local buyers.
  • Ready to travel overseas for product procurement.
  • Liaise with impex companies for product procurement.
  • Lead and manage the merchandising team for effectiveness.
  • Develop solid relationships with major key clients.
  • Make product appeal to the target market.
  • Anticipate key account changes and improvements.
  • Manage communications between key clients and internal teams.
  • Work with sales team and other departments for quality products.
  • Resolve customer inquiries/issues/complaints.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • To be accountable for delivering sales volume to meet targeted sales objectives
  • To be responsible for the planning and implementation of our new product’s launching activities
  • To liaise and negotiate with local market personnel & buyers and suppliers directly in India for products procurement
  • Should have knowledge about the geographical and seasonal availability of products like spices, grains for procuring at right time and should be able to negotiate with the suppliers for best prices
  • Should coordinate with the overseas team in preparing spice powders (Masala powders) to suggest the flavours and quantity which are required by customers in the local market
  • To build and strengthen the relationships with buyers, retail personnel and relevant parties to ensure smooth operations of business
  • To promote and market the products to the local buyers, to market new products from overseas especially from India to local market
  • To be ready to travel overseas to procure products, should possess local market product knowledge especially about Bangladesh products
  • Should liaise with impex companies for product procurement
  • To lead, supervise and manage our merchandising team to ensure the effectiveness of works
  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company
  • Make product appeal to the target market
  • Anticipating key account changes and improvements
  • Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Working with sales team, creative, advertising, logistics and team members from other departments to ensure the highest quality of products are being procured and sold
  • To resolve any inquiries/issues/complaints arising from the customers
