Job description

This position is responsible for expanding business opportunities and securing lasting client partnerships within the maritime safety and technical services sector. The role involves managing the complete commercial lifecycle for Life‑Saving Appliances (LSA), Fire‑Fighting Equipment (FFE), and technical marine support, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities, regulatory standards, and strategic objectives.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Proactively source and develop new business by engaging maritime stakeholders, including vessel owners, management companies, fleet operators, and shipyards.

  2. Foster and deepen relationships with the existing client portfolio to encourage repeat engagements and long‑term alliances.

  3. Oversee the formal client registration process, securing placement on approved vendor lists to generate a consistent stream of inquiries.

  4. Deliver on defined annual objectives for sales volume, revenue attainment, and client retention.

  5. Function as the principal commercial liaison for all client communications and requests.

  6. Collaborate closely with internal Service and Technical departments to finalize and secure service proposals.

  7. Actively pursue new Fleet Service Agreements (FSAs) while managing the renewal process for current agreements.

  8. Develop, review, and negotiate competitive bids, service proposals, contracts, and framework agreements.

  9. Create and execute targeted sales plans for LSA, FFE, and technical service offerings in support of organizational goals.

  10. Continuously analyze market dynamics, competitor strategies, and evolving customer requirements.

  11. Provide strategic recommendations to leadership and operational teams based on market intelligence to refine service or commercial approaches.

  12. Work in tandem with technical and service leadership to clarify project specifications, outline work scope, and confirm commercial viability.

  13. Guarantee that all sales activities, contractual agreements, and client engagements comply with internal Quality Management Systems, company policies, and relevant class/flag regulations.

  14. Coordinate with the Finance team to monitor payments, manage account receivables, and control commercial exposure.

  15. Support cross‑functional teams during contract clarification sessions and the resolution of client concerns.

  16. Liaise with onboard technical personnel, superintendents, and fleet management to ensure the successful completion of service jobs.

  17. Engage with shipyards and repair facilities to identify and pursue service opportunities related to dry‑docking and specific projects.

  18. Represent the organization at industry exhibitions, conferences, and key client meetings.

  19. Accurately maintain sales pipelines, opportunity forecasts, and records within the designated CRM system.

  20. Compile and present periodic sales performance reports, including hit rates, client feedback, and market conditions, for executive review.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience within the maritime industry, with a focus on marine services, LSA/FFE, ship management, or technical sales roles.

  • A demonstrated track record in maritime sales and the negotiation of complex service contracts.
