A leading trading company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategies while managing a sales team to achieve targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and experience in building customer relationships. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently. This position offers opportunities for growth and requires potential travel.
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets
Set sales goals, forecasts, and KPIs aligned with business objectives
Identify new market opportunities and customer segments
2. Team Management & Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to improve performance
Recruit, train, and onboard new sales staff
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback
3. Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers
Drive new customer acquisition and retain existing clients
4. Sales Operations & Reporting
Monitor daily sales activities and pipeline management
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management
Ensure accurate documentation of sales activities in CRM systems
5. Customer & Market Insight
Understand customer needs and propose suitable products or solutions
Track market trends, competitors’ activities, and pricing strategies
Gather customer feedback to improve products and services
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams
Align sales campaigns with marketing initiatives
Coordinate order fulfillment and after-sales support
7. Compliance & Process Improvement
Ensure sales activities comply with company policies and regulations
Continuously improve sales processes and efficiency
Education & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
Professional sales or management certifications are an advantage
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience in B2B/B2C sales (industry-specific experience is a plus)
