A leading sales organization is seeking a Sales Representative in Singapore to initiate and promote sales opportunities through customer visits and strategic engagement. The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Chemistry or related fields and at least 3 years of sales experience in the relevant industry. This role involves managing existing accounts, preparing budgets, and fostering strong customer relations. A customer-focused mindset and CRM experience are essential for success.
Initiate, promote and develop sales opportunities by undertaking daily customer visits, telephone calls and/or meetings (physical and/or online meetings) to secure repeat, increased and/or new products sales to achieve the income target set by the Company.
Manage and drive the growth of existing accounts and product mix of the customers as per annual targets.
Collaborate with the Department Manager to plan and enhance business competitiveness and profitability through customers, competitors and market intelligence, effective sales strategies and marketing mix.
Identify and establish new customers and business opportunities through research and cold calls.
Prepare sales budgets/reviews for the product line/industries handled.
Conduct regular customer visits, updating the CRM system with accurate and complete information. Foster healthy customer relations, build strong and lasting relationships that support long-term sales objectives. Demonstrate conscientiousness and receptiveness to their needs.
Prepare product costing and generate quotations for customers.
Stay updated on market trends and new products launched by competitors through constant self-research. Provide timely updates to the Department Manager to initiate counter strategies.
Submit periodic sales reports and activities plans with the most updated order closing date to the Department Manager.
Attend all necessary project site meetings when required to ensure smooth handover.
Follow up with the credit team to ensure all collections are within the credit terms granted by the Company. In case of delays, follow up with customers for payment and/or to understand their problems faced.
Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System as well as the Group’s and Company’s Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and safe work procedures.
Provide support to other Departments in terms of promoting and selling their products as and when the opportunity arises.
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Processing / Engineering, Science or related studies or relevant experiences. Specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, renewable energy, personal care & pharmaceutical knowledge is a plus.
Preferably with at least 3 years’ sales experience in relevant industry. However, those without relevant experience but possess knowledge of the Company’s products may be considered.
